Security

Your files and data are handled with care. Here is what we do to keep them secure.

Encrypted transfers

All communication between your browser and our servers is protected with HTTPS (TLS). This means your files are encrypted in transit and cannot be intercepted by third parties during upload or download.

Automatic file deletion

Files are not kept on our servers longer than necessary. Deletion is automatic and based on your plan:

No third-party file sharing

Your uploaded files are processed solely for the task you request — merging, converting, editing, and so on. We do not share, sell, or transmit your file content to any third party. No copies or backups of your files are made outside of the temporary processing storage.

Payment security

All payments are handled by Stripe (stripe.com), a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. MakeitPDF never receives, stores, or has access to your card number or full payment details. Stripe's infrastructure manages all sensitive financial data.

Analytics and tracking

We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use the site. These tools collect anonymised, aggregated data such as pages visited and session duration. They never have access to the content of files you upload. You can opt out by adjusting your browser settings or using the opt-out tools provided by each service.

Account security

Account passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing. We recommend using a strong, unique password for your MakeitPDF account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at support@makeitpdf.com.

Reporting a security issue

If you discover a security vulnerability in MakeitPDF, please report it to us responsibly by emailing support@makeitpdf.com. We take security reports seriously and will respond promptly.
